The Brief: Art direct and design the 2009 Annual Report for the Westmead Medical Research Foundation. The Foundation uses the report as a marketing tool to widen the profile of the Foundation and to highlight specific areas donated money is used, thereby strengthening a ‘Reason to give’.
I worked closely with the Marketing Manager to choose and brief a photographer, create mood boards outlining the style and layout of each shot. Finding the right location for the shoot and then directing each shot on the day to make sure we were successful in meeting the clients expectations.
I then designed each component of the 40 page brochure, selected and retouched all raw high res shots that were sent through from the photographer.
